Montreal Mafiosi's bullet-riddled bodies found in Sicily

The bodies of two men linked to the Montreal mafia have been found shot full of bullets and burned at a farmhouse in the Sicilian countryside.

Juan Ramon Fernandez, known as "Joe Bravo," and a man believed to have been his right-hand man, Fernando Pimentel, had been shot more than 30 times when they were discovered by Italian police two days ago. Police were alerted to the killing by an anonymous tip.

Authorities believe the men were lured to the deserted house for a business deal, setting up a drug-distribution corridor between Italy and Canada.

Italian police say there were search warrants out for both victims at the time of the killings. They'd been found guilty of racketeering and heroin smuggling in Canada.

Fernandez is reportedly a member of the Rizzuto clan, which has suffered significant losses in recent years as high-ranking members were assassinated by rivals.

Italian authorities said they believe thehit on the two men was ordered from Canada.
