The City of Montreal issued a preventive boil-water advisory Tuesday afternoon for the entire Montral-Nord boroughfollowing a drop in pressure.

The city says its teams are working to make necessary repairs, and that this is not related to Friday's major water main break.

Residents are urged to look at an interactive map to see which areas are touched.

Those affected should boil water for at least one minute before drinking it or using it to brush their teeth. Tap water is still fine for washing.

It's unclear how long the boil-water advisory will remain in place. The city says it will notify residents when it is lifted.
