STM pulls 3 AZUR trains from service for safety inspections

Two trains have returned to service in Montreal's Metro system while the third undergoes repairs.

The STM's new AZUR trains werepulled out of service after a crack was found ina nut holding together onetrain'ssuspension system.

Following the incident, the STM said it immediatelyordered an inspection of all the new trains.

Two trains have returnedto service inMontreal's Metrosystemwhile the third undergoesrepairs.

User safety was not compromised and the new AZUR trains are being rolled out gradually to allow for rigorous testing, according to the STM.
