Numbers have increased acrossthe board: air traffic, the number of business conferences and hotel occupancy are all up.

The hotel occupancy rate for April and May was80 per cent, uptwo percentage points over last year.

The president of Tourism Montreal, Yves Lalumire, said numbers for June also look good.

"In June, hotels are totally booked," he said.

Lalumire credits a number of web and advertising campaigns for helping make Montreal a hot spot.

He also said the city is becoming an increasingly popular destination for conferences, which really impacts tourism numbers.
