Snowstorm forces Opration Nez Rouge to suspend rides Tuesday

Bad weather has caused Opration Nez Rouge to suspend rides in Montreal and other parts of Quebec this evening.

More than 50,000 people have used the service since Christmas Eve

Opration Nez Rouge now operates in 63 communities in Quebec to help people get home safely during the holidays. (Radio-Canada)

Opration Nez Rouge has suspended its servicein Montreal until 7 p.m. Wednesdaybecause of bad road conditions.

"With the weather conditions outside, for the safety of our volunteers and clients we decided to suspend our operations in some areas of Quebec," said David Latouche, a spokesman with Opration Nez Rouge.

Along with Montreal, the service willnot be operatingtonight in Laval, Longueuil, Joliette, Quebec City, Haut-Richelieu and Valle-du-Richelieu.

Since Dec. 24, more than 50,000 have used Opration Nez Rouge, according to the organization.
