PK Subban surprises street hockey game in Westmount
Montreal Canadiens star was driving by after having dinner in the area
A group of kids were playing street hockey in Westmount yesterday when they were joined by a surprise guest P.K. Subban.
Eight-year-oldJack Fraser,who plays forward forthe novice-levelWestmountWings, happened to be suited up as a goalie at the time, giving him a major thrill.
A video posted toYouTubeshowsFrasereven managed to stop a fewSubbanslapshotsand a nifty breakaway move.
In an interview on CBC Montreal's Daybreak, the youngster describedthe experience as"awesome" and "cool."
Jack's father AaronFrasersaid he didn't believe it when he first heard Subban was on the street. He's still not sure what prompted the visit.
"I was in my house and my oldest soncame running over and said, 'You have to come, P.K.'s on the street," he said.
"I didn't believe him at first, and I actually expected to get pelted with water balloons."
Fraser said a black SUV pulled up and Subban and a friend got out and he told everyone, "let's play some street hockey."
Subbanstayed for about five minutes and posed for photos with people in the neighbourhood.
