Quebec CEGEP teachers reach tentative deal with government

Quebec unions representing CEGEP teachers have reached a tentative deal with the provincial government after months of rotating strikes.

Quebec unions representing CEGEPteachers have reached a tentative deal with the provincial government after months of rotating strikes.

The deal offersbetter working conditions for CEGEP teachers including extra support for students with disabilities. It does not cover salary or contracts.

An agreement-in-principle comes after a week of accelerated negotiations.The tentative deal was struck on Sunday.

Quebec public sector workershave been holding rotating walkouts across the province since September.

Teachers, health-care professionals and other civil servants have been without a collective agreement since April.
