Quebec studio behind Barack Obama's virtual reality debut

Ever wonder what it would be like to tour California's Yosemite National Park with the president of the United States as your guide? Well now, thanks to a Montreal-based studio, you can experience it all without leaving home.

Ever wonder what it would be like to tour California's Yosemite National Park with the president of the United States as your guide? Wellnow, thanks to a Montreal-based studio, you can experience it all without leaving home.

The virtual reality studioFlix & Paul has teamed up withNational Geographic and the company Oculus to produce an 11-minute video featuring Barack ObamatouringYosemite to celebratethe 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.

Move the video around while playing to have a 360-degree view of the park.

"As filmmakers, we wanted to use cinematic virtual reality's unique transportive power to bring audiences into a journey with President Obama where they could experience firsthand the vertiginous, lyricaland timeless beauty of Yosemite," saidFlix& Paul co-founder and directorFlix Lajeunesse.

The studio has made a name for itself in the virtual reality milieu, having already teamed up with Cirque du Soleil, several Hollywood studios and basketball star LeBron James.
