Thousands of people of Scottish extraction from around the world have contributed to the Scottish Diaspora Tapestry, which is on display atthe Atwater Library until Dec.10.

Bolton sent some themes of the Scottish-Montreal experience to the group behind the tapestry, which isbased out of the Prestoungrange Arts Festival in Scotland.

An artist in Scotland, AndrewCrummy, then drew a panel for Montreal based on thosethemes.

That panel was then sent back to Montreal to be stitched locally.

"You cannot believe it until you see it," Bolton said of the tapestry.

"[You can't believe] the love that's gone into the stitching from around the world."

Admission is free to see the tapestries andbooks of the catalogue are for sale.

After leaving Montreal Dec. 10, the tapestry will stop in Ottawa before moving on to Iceland and finallyreturning to the U.K. in March2017.
