Seal steps out of crowd to sing duet with Montreal busker

Saturday night Montreal busker Jason Deeh Pitre was finishing up his set when a man came over to compliment his playing. It turned out to be his longtime idol, Seal, who then joined him for a duet.

Last Saturday night, a busker was finishing up his set in front of Notre-Dame Basilica in Old Montrealwhen a man came over to compliment his playing.

The man said to him,"You really touched me. You have an amazing voice."

It didn't take long for JasonDeehPitre to realizethat manwas his longtime idol, four-time Grammy award-winning artistSeal.

DeehPitresaidSeal's eponymous first album was the first tape he ever bought.

The former coach for TheVoice Australiaasked Deeh Pitre for a duet, and the two decided to performStand by Me.

Acrowd formed, and some peoplebegan filming and sharing what they saw on Twitter.

Seal later retweetedthe performance from his account.

Deeh Pitre shared the story on Facebook.

"When I meet a high caliber artist like Seal (with a world reknown[ed] voice) I feel very vulnerable and small. So when I sang my first sentence, I felt very scared," Deeh Pitre wrote in a detailed post about the experience.

After spending about 10 minutes with Seal, Deeh Pitre said he was so overwhelmed he had to go sit down.

A tourist filmed the impromptu duet, which has nettedmore than 44,000 views on YouTube intwo days.

Deeh Pitre's story is now going viral,as outlets such asBritain's Daily Mail and Italy's Alessandria News sharethe video.

Seal, who is now in Parisfor two nightsas he kicks offa global tour, happened to be in Montreal for a secret show.
