2 dead after shooting in Saint-Michel

Two men died after they were shot in Saint-Michel early Friday morning.

Two men died after they were shot in the Saint-Michel neighbourhoodon Thursday night.

At around1:50 a.m., Montreal police say theyreceived multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire on 25th Avenue near Robert Boulevard.

They say they arrived on the scene and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

The 33-year-old and the 34-year-old victimswere rushed to hospital in critical condition, but police confirmed their deaths early Friday morning.

Montreal police say circumstances around their deaths are not clear and investigators from Montreal's major crimes division are still investigating.

These are the 19th and 20thhomicides on territory covered by the Montreal police this year.
