Some Montreal pools hours extended due to hot weather

While many of the citys pools are already closed because student employees are returning to school, there are still some public pools where Montrealers can take a dip and cool off from the August heat.

This week is shaping up to be one of the warmest of the summer, with daytime highs close to 30 C andhumidexvalues making it feel like 35.

While many of the citys pools are already closed asstudent employees return to school, there are still some public pools whereMontrealerscan take a dip and cool off from the August heat.

Here is a list of municipal pools that are open, or open on a reduced schedule, by borough :

Pierrefonds-Roxboro:Valleycrestpublic pool: open until Sept.1. If the weather permits, the pool will be open from Sept. 2-7.

Plateau:PiscineLaurier: extendedschedule from Aug. 25 to 29 (access will be free), and from Aug. 30-Sept. 1 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (admission fee)

Lachine:Kirkland andLaSallepools: open on their off-season schedule from Aug. 25 to Sept. 1.

St-Lonard:Ladauversirepool: open, if the weather remains warm, during Labour Day weekend from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

RDPPointe-aux-Trembles:Alexis-Carrelpool:open until Aug.31.

Verdun:All public pools open until Aug. 31.

Ville-Marie:ComplexeaquatiqueJean-Drapeau: open until Sept.1 from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weekdays, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend.

The beach at leNotre-Dameis open Aug. 29 to 31 from 12 p.m.to 7 p.m.

Outremont:The pool is open Aug. 29 to Sept.1 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
