Alison Northcott reports on the daycare strike

More than 300 publicly funded daycares across Quebec will be closed on Friday while workers stage a one-day protest.

It's the second single-day strike this week involving thousands of daycare workers and families in the province.

Workers have been without a contract for two years.

The sticking points in contract talks have been salaries, vacation time and schedules.

Quebec Family Minister Yolande James says the strikewill bea major inconvenience for parents.

Many parents, however, say they support the daycare workers' struggle for better work conditions.
