Sret du Qubec arrests 3 as part of anti-gang operation

Quebec provincial police have arrested three more people as part of a large-scaleanti-gang operation.

Pascal Lavoie, 41, Samy Tamouro, 29, and Claude Ouellette, 42, were arrested and charged in court Thursday with gangsterism, conspiracy, drug trafficking, money laundering and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police will try to prove that Tamouro, who is already incarcerated, received an estimated $135,000 from the sale of drugs.

Another man, 39-year-old Martin Saint-Arnaud, was also arrested for breach of conditions.

Andr Sauvageau, 60,was arrested Wednesday as part of the same investigation. The SQ is seekingto break up the unionof Hells Angels, Mafia and street gangs that police say was forged following the death of Vito Rizzuto.

Police are still looking for 32-year-old Benot Nantel-Gagnon in connection to their investigation and say anyone with information about his whereabouts can contact them at 1-800-659-4264.
