Turcot Interchange contract awarded to Kiewit and Parsons
Transport Minister Robert Poti says project expected to begin in February 2015 and completed by 2020
Quebec's transportation ministry has awarded thecontract for the new Turcot Interchange to KPH Turcot, a consortium led bytwo U.S.-based construction firms, Kiewit and Parsons.
Kiewit's home office is listed in Omaha, Neb., while Parsons is headquartered in Pasadena, Calif.
The cost is estimatedat$3.7 billion, the same amount estimated when the formerParti Qubcoisstarted the bidding.
Transport Minister RobertPotisaidwork is expected to begin in February 2015 and be completed by 2020.
The exact timeline will be announced when the contract is signed.
Kiewitis knownfor the construction ofAutoroute 25 between Laval and Montreal.
