Turcot Interchange construction firm charged after UPAC probe

An investigation led by Quebec's anti-corruption unit has resulted in charges against a construction company in Montreal.

An investigation led by Quebec's anti-corruption unit has resulted in charges against a construction company in Montreal.

The nine charges are in connection with some of the work on the Turcot Interchange in May 2015.

A statement fromUPACsays the company, P.A.C. ConstructionDmolition, did some of the work without a licence.

If found guilty, the company could face fines up to$1.45 million.

The allegations have not been proven.

The $3.7-billion overhaul of the Turcot is scheduled to be completed bythe fall of 2020.
