Man, woman found dead in backyard of Pointe-aux-Trembles home

The bodies of a 57-year-old man and 53-year-old woman were found in the backyard of a home in Pointe-aux-Trembles in Montreal's east end.

Police say one death is being investigated as a homicide, the other as suspicious

Police are investigating after the bodies of a man and a woman were found in the backyard of a home in Pointe-aux-Trembles, in Montreal's east end, Saturday morning.

Police were called to the home, on 40th Avenue near the corner of Forsyth Street, around 10 a.m.

When they arrived, they found the 57-year-old man and 53-year-old woman, who appeared to be unconscious. Bothdeaths were confirmed at the scene by paramedics.

Montreal police spokesperson Julien Lvesque said one of the deaths is a homicide and the other is being considered suspicious.

He said the two victims knew each other, but did not provide details about their relationship.

The homicide is the seventh this year on territory covered by the Montreal police.
