UberX protested by 200 Montreal taxi drivers

A convoy of at least 200 taxis drove to Montreal City Hall today to protest,saying they are losing business.

The cabbies are urging the city to shut down the ride-sharing company,UberX.

According to the CBC's Jennifer Choi, taxi drivers say UberX is taking as much as35 per cent of their business.

Mayor Denis Coderre and the Quebec government have called the ride-sharingservice illegal.

However,UberX continues to operate in Montreal, and company officials say they intend to fight every vehicle seizure in court.
