Vronique Hivon lays out plan to unite sovereigntist forces
Province-wide tour planned for 2017 at 'the heart of my approach,' PQ leadership candidate says
Parti Qubcois leadership candidate Vronique Hivonsays she will assemble a coalition ofsovereigntist forcesas part of a newplan to reboot the independence movement.
Hivon laid out details of a three-step plan on Friday, saying she would first prepare the province forsovereignty by conducting new studies, then present the plan to Quebecersandfinally work toassemble a coalition of sovereigntists.
At a news conference, shestressed her political approach would welcome all Quebecers, including new immigrants, First Nations and anglophones, even if they aren't in favour of independence.
"We need to respect ourdiversity," she said. "It's our strength."

Her plan did not, however, include details on when she would holda referendum if elected.
Hivon is one of three people to enter the racetoreplace Pierre Karl Pladeau as PQ chief.MNAs Alexandre Cloutier andJean-Franois Lise are also in the running.
