Murielle Leger, 56, requires daily medication

RCMP are asking for the public's help in locating a missing Bouctouche woman who has a medical condition and requires daily medication.

Murielle Leger, 56, was last seen on Nov. 30, when she left the special care home where she was staying some time after 5 p.m., Cpl. Chantal Soucy stated in a release.

Leger was reported missing to police on Dec. 3.

The RCMP helicopter and officers have been searching the Bouctouche area since then, trying to find her, said Soucy.

A ground search and rescue team may be called in to help, she said.

"She lives in a special care home because of the medications she needs to take. And that's why we have some concerns, because of the way that she left and she hasn't returned. It's not usually what she would do," said Soucy.

Legerhad been asked to move out of the special care home, Foyer Joe, by the end of December, Soucy said.

Leger is described as being about five-foot-one,115pounds, withshoulder-length blond hair.

She was last seen wearing a black skidoo jacket with yellow stripes, jeans and brown boots.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the RCMP at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).
