Now that 18-year-old Cameron Allan has started targeting alleged online sex predators as part of Creep Catcher Canada, more people across the Maritimes want to get involved, said Greg Slammington, who helps run the national vigilante group out of Calgary.

Now that 18-year-old Cameron Allan has started targeting alleged online sex predators as part of Creep Catcher Canada, more people across the Maritimes want to get involved, according to Greg Slammington, who helps run the national vigilante group out of Calgary.

"Across the Maritimes there are guys that want to start up [chapters] in their own cities," said Slammington.

"There's just been a huge interest in places like Moncton."

Creep Catcher Canada launched another outpost in Edmonton on Tuesday.

The group has members across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan andNew Brunswick.

"I'm more than glad that I've linked Eastern Canada to Western Canada in terms of vigilantism or whatever," said Allan, who's in his final year of high school.

We'll show the neighbours that buddy living beside them is a pedophile because nobody else will- Greg Slammington

Slammington says he didn't realize Allan was still in high school when the teenager first joined the group, but he doesn't think it's an issue going forward.

"We're fighting to get rid of pedophiles and whether he's 18 or 45, he has the same idea in his head as we do," said Slammington.

Slammington says he andhis co-founder Dawson Raymond were involved with the hacker group Anonymousbefore they officially launched Creep Catcher Canada in January.

He saysthey started the group because it's not public knowledge where sex offenders live.

"We'll show the neighbours that buddy living beside them is a pedophile because nobody else will," said Slammington.

Canada does have a sex offender registry but names and personal informationare not public.
