Dennis Oland's 2nd-degree murder trial: Dec. 2

Dennis Oland will continuetestifyingtoday at his second-degree murder trial, a day after flatly denying he killed hisfather, prominent New Brunswick businessmanRichard Oland.

Olandbegan testifying in his own defence on Tuesday in front of a packed courtroom in Saint John.

Gary Miller, Oland's defence lawyer, led the accused through a series ofemails, text messages and phone calls he made and received on the day Richard Oland died.

Much of the testimonypainted apicture of an ordinary day, dealing with family and work-related issues.

At points, Oland's statements in courtdiffered slightly from what he told Saint John police on the day his father's body was discovered more than four years ago.

Oland's mother, sister, wife, uncle and friend are also expected to testify on his behalf today.
