Fredericton Transit reveals route changes due to construction

A major summer-long construction project at Fredericton's busiest intersection is forcing Fredericton Transit to make some major route changes.

The construction project will close down most of the intersection of Regent and Prospect streets, starting on June 1.

Fredericton Transit announced its planned route changes for the summer. They include:

  • 11S Prospect and 13S Prospect will use the Uptown Centre as a transfer point.
  • 10N Carlisle and 12N Brookside will wait for transfers at Uptown Centre.
  • 17S Regent will stop at Uptown Centre and taken passengers to Corbett Centre. People going to Regent Mall are advised to disembark onKnowledge Park at bus stop.
  • Fixed routing will be unable to service the Regent Mall.
  • 16N Marysville and 17S Regent will be travelling the roundabout to the Corbett Centre.
  • 16N Marysville will leave the CorbettCentre and travel to the Forestry Centre, then through the roundabout tothe Uptown Centre, where normal routing will resume.
  • Shuttle service will be provided from the Uptown Centre to the Regent Mall.
  • Tentative times the route changes will be in effect are 6:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., and 8:45 p.m.-10:45 p.m. Times are subject to change.
  • Delays are to be expected.
