Jami Springer's family pleads for information on daughter's disappearance

The family of Jami Springer made a public statement about the disappearance of the 27-year old woman from Moncton, who hasnt been seen in almost a month.

The family of missing Moncton woman Jami Springer and RCMP held a news conference Wednesday asking for anyone with information about her disappearance to come forward.

The family of a missing 27-year-old Moncton woman made an emotional plea to the public Wednesday morning for any information that could help find their daughter.

"This is our family's worst nightmare,"said Jami Springer's mother Gillian Fletcher at a press conference outside the Codiac Regional RCMP detachment. Springer's father and brother were also in attendance.

Fletcher said the past month has been one of praying and sleepless nights waiting for the phone to ring and hear her daughter's voice on the other end of the line.

"Jami, if you see this, please call us. We love you. We want to know if you're safe," she said.

Springer was last seen late afternoon on Aug. 31 on McLaughlin Drive inMoncton.

Staff Sgt. Maurice Comeausaid the RCMP have been following up on several tips received from the public. Theybelievesomeone has information about Springer's whereabouts but has yet to come forward.

Comeau added that theRCMPcontinue to treat the disappearance as suspicious because it isunusual for her to be out of contact with her family for so long without an explanation.

Springer is Caucasian with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

She is five-feet, four-inches tall and weighs approximately 106 pounds.

The RCMP has postedphotos of Springer's tattoos on its website. They include a flower on her upper back, a butterfly on her lower back, a red, white and blue popsicle and the Lord's Prayer on her left thigh.

Anyone with information regarding Springer's whereabouts are asked to call CrimeStoppers or the Codiac Regional RCMP.
