Moncton man's pleas on child exploitation charges set for June
RCMP says thousands of boys aged 10-16 years around the world were victimized online
A Moncton man facing five new chargesrelated to child pornography and exploitation in a caseRCMPsay involved victims around the world will be back in court in June to enter pleas.
The charges laid on March 31include:
- Making child pornography.
- Extortion, by threatening to distribute nude videos of victims to their friends and parents.
- Child luring for purposes of child pornography through use of a computer.
- Making sexually explicit material available to a child.
- Making child pornography available.
RCMP Sgt. Jean-Marc Par has said there are multiple victims for each of the charges, with up to 40 victims per charge in some cases.
In the Court of Queen's Bench on Monday, Justice ZoelDionneset a date of June 27 for entering a plea on those charges.

The man had previously pleaded guilty to producing child pornography, sexual assault, and making child pornography available.
A sentencing hearing has been set forAug.30-31.
RCMP allege the man posed online as a teenage girl and lured boys as young as 10 years old into removing their clothing an initiating a sexual act that the man then recorded and distributed online.
Par said there were no known victims from New Brunswick, but thousands worldwide and one in Canada.
The majority of victims were boys between the ages of 10 and 16 years, he said.
Victims have been identified in Canada, the United States, England, Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands, Australia, Russia, Ukraine, Belgium, Norway, Germany, France and Latvia, RCMP have said.
