Area 506 festival to get 'bigger and better,' organizer says
Saint John port turned into a shipping container village for inaugural event
The Saint John wharf has been transformed into a village made out of shipping containers this weekend for the Area 506 festival.
It's the first year for the festival, which showcases art, music, and culture at the city's port.
Area 506 organizer Ray Gracewood says the attendance for the event has already surpassed expectations.
"Our expectation is that this is just the first step, so our idea is that we're going to take this and build upon it and it's gonna be bigger and better as we go forward," he said.
The eventcontinues through Sunday night with performances from Grace Potter, Big Sugar and others.
