Dalhousie's familiar skyline is still intact after a failed attempt to bring down the NB Power smokestacks Sunday.

The smokestacks were set to be demolished as part of the decommissioning process of the old power station. The facility stopped operation three years ago.

But it appears the building is in no rush to move. The company says the structure didn't react as anticipated to Sunday morning's blast.

NB Power said in a tweet that the site is safe for now. It will make another attempt to bring down the smokestacks in the next week or two.
