Pro-choice protesters crash anti-abortion rally at legislature

There were some testy moments onThursday when a small group of pro-choice demonstrators showed up at an anti-abortion protest being staged in front of the New Brunswick legislature.

Former lieutenant-governor Graydon Nicholas was one of those who spoke in opposition to abortion.

"I've got my voice back, a voice I had to set aside," said Nicholas, a reference to having to not comment publicly on issues while serving as lieutenant-governor and, before that, as a provincial court judge.

The anti-abortion protest had about 300 people, which wasmuch larger than the band of about a dozen pro-choice protesters.
