Search for missing Mount Allison student continues

Thesearch for a missing Mount Allison University student will resume on Tuesday.

Christopher Metallic, 20, was last seen at a pizza business on Main Street at about 3 a.m. on Sunday, say RCMP.

He had been attending an off-campus party at a residence on Saturday night,police said. Metallic, who is originally from Listuguj, Quebec,does not live on campus.

His family says his disappearance is out of character, Cpl. Denis Hach told CBC News.

Some of Metallic's relatives were in Sackville on Monday to helpRCMP and members of the Tri-County Ground Search and Rescue look for him.

The RCMP had their helicopter out, while officers and volunteerswere going door to door, checking possible shortcutsMetallic may have taken home and areas he might hang out, said Hach.

Officers were also reviewing surveillance video from local businesses and checking social media sites, he said.

Missing flyers with Metallic's photograph and description have been posted around the town.

The university also sent out an email to staff and students about Metallic's disappearance, saying he was last seen at Home Alone Pizza.

As of early Monday evening, police had not yet received any tips from the public, Hach said.

Metallic is studying anthropology at the university and works as a basketball minor official, according to his Facebook profile.

Although the profile wasonly created on Nov. 15, Metallic has 254 friends.

Metallicis described as being aboriginal, six feet tall, 180 pounds, with short dark hair and glasses.

He was last seen wearing a shiny bright blue sweater and jeans.

Metallic does not have any medical conditions that police are aware of, said Hach.
