Despite the blue skies and sunshine, it was another messy day on the highways in New Brunswick.

RCMP and Salisbury Fire and Rescue responded to a seven car pile-up on Route 112 in Salisbury Friday morning. Intensely blowing snow swept through the town, making visibility next to nil.

Wayne Kitchen, the deputy chief of Salisbury Fire and Rescue, says while a few vehicles sustained major damage, there were no serious injuries.

"This is the first one so far today and I hope it's the last one, but probably not," he said.

The Trans-Canada Highway was closed today from Truro, N.S. to Sackville, N.B., but has since reopened.

Corbin Crouse was on the highway in Sackvilleand says the driving was fine until he entered the passing lane.

"I went to pass a slow driver and there was a buildup of snow I didn't see. I hit it and as soon as I hit it, the car went diagonally into the ditch."

There to save the day was Corey Maillet with Dynamic Towing. He's been busy plucking cars out of the ditch all week long.

A lot of people sliding off, he said.

Another messy storm is expected for Sunday.
