A downtown St. John's bar that had its liquor licence suspended will be open for business again Friday night.

George Street's newest club Allure has been in the news spotlight for the past week after photos of its opening night festivities, taken by American nightlife photographer Kirill, were posted online.

Some of the photos showed topless young women partying.

CBC News confirmed with members of some of the girls in the photographs that they were underage.

The Newfoundland Liquor Corporation suspended the club's licence earlier this week, pending an investigation.

The NLC lifted the suspension on Friday afternoon, so the club will be able to resume normal operations.

But the NLC said its investigation into allegations of underage drinking at the bar will continue.
