April snow brings May ... snowbanks? N.L. blanketed in layer of white

On the Avalon Peninsula, some areas saw 18 centimetresfall overnight Tuesday, with Environment Canada estimating anothertwo and fourcm to fall through the morning.

Snowfall warnings remained in effect for many eastern areas of the island, but flurries taperedoff by noon.
