Conception Bay South convenience store held up, suspect with knife fled with cash

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is searching for a manwho held up a convenience store in Conception Bay South on Saturday night.

At 11:35, police were dispatched to M.A.E.'s Variety on theConception Bay Highway in response toan armed robbery in progress.

A lone male in his mid-to-late 20'sentered the store wearing a black ski mask and wasbrandishing a knife.

The RNC said the suspect fled on footwith a small quantity of cash.

Officers and the K-9 unit later located several articles of clothing and the weapon believed used in the robbery.

The investigation is ongoing.
