Armed robbery at Kilbride gas station, suspect flees with cash and merchandise

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the Kilbride area of St. John's Friday night.

Police saidthat at around 9 p.m., a man with his face covered entered a gas station store on the main road, and demanded money.

The staff complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise.

Police did not say what kind of weapon was used in the robbery.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
