Bail hearing set for St. John's cabbie charged with sexual assault

A St. John's cab driver who is alleged to have committed a sexual assault while on the job will face a bail hearing on Wednesday.

A St. John's cab driver who is alleged to have committed a sexual assault while on the job will face a bail hearing on Wednesday.

32-year-oldLulzimJakupaj, who also goes by Leon,was charged Friday with breaking and entering and sexual assault.

RNC officials said the two charges were in response to two separate complaints made to police this year.

They said the complaints were made in April and May, and that "it is allegedJakupaj was operating a taxi cab during the commission of these offences."

Officials said the breakingand entering charge stems from an incident early in Mayand the alleged sexual assault occurred on March 31 in Paradise.

On Jakupaj`sFacebookpage, helists his profession as "VIP Security/Driver at City Wide Taxi."
