Camille Strickland-Murphy accused in recent holdup

A young woman who was sentenced to two years in federal prison in June of 2012 is once again in trouble with the law.

• Drill used to threaten pharmacy staff during robbery

21-year-old Camille Strickland-Murphy is accused ofattempting to hold up Shoppers Drug Mart Wednesday night in the east end of St. John's.

Strickland-Murphy is said to have used a knife and a drill to threaten pharmacy staff, however someone in the pharmacy contacted police and the young woman was arrested at the scene.

She is also charged with breaching probation.

In 2012 Murphy was sentenced to federal time for robbing a woman at knife point. Then, Murphy had asked to go to a federal institution in order to get help for a drug addiction.

She is known to have also suffered from mental health issues.

Strickland-Murphy was sent for a psychiatric assessment, and is expected back in court on Friday.
