This year,CBC Newfoundland and Labrador received thousands of audience photos. Yes, thousands.

Your photos have engaged and delighted us, and each week followers of the gallery tell ushow much they're enjoying what you submit. So, take a bow!

When we started the process of selecting the bestphotos of the year,we were overwhelmed with the sheer volume of images that were posted in 2019.

You might wonder, exactly what arethe criteria for judging?It could be the lighting of a photo, the composition, or the colours but oftenit's when an image resonateswith us, and sometimes the effect is pure magic.

We've put together a host of fabulous photos best enjoyed with your feet up and a hot cuppa.
