'It's good to have a little bit of luck': Goulds man wins at Chase the Ace again, leaves $600K jackpot

The jackpot came to $597,000 Wednesday night in Goulds.

Chase the Ace fever has swept Goulds and surrounding areaand it will continue to do so for at least another week.

MartinHefferman, from Goulds, won the draw Wednesday night. Heffermandidn't pick the ace of spades from among the remaining cards, so he wasn't able to take home the grand prizeof $597,000.

Instead, he walked away with $66,805 the consolation prize.

It's notthe first time Hefferman'swalked away with money from Chase the Ace.

He was previously part of the winninggroup ofco-workers fromthe Goulds'Greco Pizza.

"We split 40,000 between 19 of us. So tonight it was myself and my wife," he said.

"It's good to have a little bit of luck."

There are now 13 cards remaining in the lottery fundraiser, which benefits St. Kevin's Parish.

Shane Dalton from Catalinawas the lucky 50/50 winner. That prize totaled $81,970.

The games continue next Wednesday, July 12.
