Child exploitation investigation leads to Paradise man's arrest

A man in Paradise has been arrested following a months-long child exploitation investigation.

Man, 28, is facing a total of 6 charges; will appear in court Aug. 25

A 28-year-old Paradise man is facing a total of six charges.

A man in Paradise has been arrested following a months-long child exploitation investigation.

Officers with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement UnitNL (CFSEU-NL) arrested and charged the 28-year-old man on multiple counts.

The investigation started in April, and the man was arrested July 25. He appeared in court that afternoon.

He was released from police custody under strict conditions.

He's facing a total of six charges, including three counts of child luring, two counts of attempt to arrage to commit a sexual offence against a child, and attempted exposure.

The man is scheduled to answer to those charges in a court appearance in St. John's Aug. 25.

CFSEU-NL is an integrated investigative unit of both RCMP and Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers.
