New FM transmitter in Botwood to extend CBC Radio One service in Central N.L. on 93.3 FM

New FM transmitter will reach listeners in Springdale, Gander and Lewisporte areas.

540 AM frequency to be discontinued on Dec. 31

A new FM transmitter in Botwood means you can now hear CBC Radio One on the 93.3 FM frequency. This will significantly improve signal quality and extend reach to the surrounding area, including the communities of Springdale, Lewisporte and Gander.

The 540 AM frequency currently in place will be discontinued on Dec. 31.

Listeners to the new 93.3 FM frequency will temporarily hear an automated message about the new service.
