Drone passes below flight heading into Gander International Airport

A pilot operating a flight into Gander International Airport reported that a drone passed below the aircraft during a descent onto the runway.

A CADORS report indicates the pilot ofan Exploits Valley Air Services Cessna 152reported seeing a drone pass about 30 metresbelow the plane on Thursday.

The pilot reported the incident to the Gander Tower.

The RCMP were notified, and officers attempted to locate the drone as well as the drone operator, but werenot successful.
