Peyton is steadily making a name for himself in Hollywood, having directed several films. In 2013 he directedfour episodes of CBC's Republic of Doyle back in his province of Newfoundland and Labrador..

Peyton has worked with The Rock before, when he directed Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Journey 3: From the Earth to the Moon.

Some of his other projects as director include Incarnate, Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galoreand What It's Like Being Alone.
