One last taste of winter? Happy Valley-Goose Bay wakes up to heavy snowfall

Just as people in Happy Valley-Goose Bay were strapping on their sneakers for spring, they instead had to break out the winter boots again this morning.

"It's horrible...don't like it at all," one man, who said he was caught off guard by the winterweather,told CBC.

The town saw 18 cmof snow fall Wednesday morning and another 2to 4cm isexpected through the afternoon.

The long range forecastshows those conditions could continue to persist until Friday, after which temperatures should warm and the weekend could be a mix of sun and rain.
