Food bank use dipped in Newfoundland and Labrador last year, but it remains higher than it was five years ago.

New statistics from Food Banks Canada's annual Hunger Count report paint a picture of who is using local food banks. A third are children, the vast majority are under 65, and a good many rely on social assistance and public housing.
