Kevin Terry Evans has been charged with failing to comply with a probation order set out after serving time for abusing two of his former partners.

Evans's case is expected to be called in provincial court onJuly 21, on a single charge of failing to comply with a probation order.

The offence is alleged to have happened between April 26 and 27 in St. John's.It is not clear yet which condition he is alleged to have broken.

The 29-year-old from the St. John's area was sentenced to time served in January and was released on probation for 18 months. He was under a number of conditions, including having to wear an ankle monitor should his probation officer determine he needed it.

Evans was originally scheduled to go to trial but instead pleaded guilty to six charges involving two women. The court heard Evans physically and emotionally abused the women, on multiple occasions.

He attributes his crimes to his substance abuse.

Evans served 169 days in jail awaiting a resolution to his case. He was given time already served, and was released after his sentencing.

There is another case pending against Evans in Ontario, in which he is alleged to have assaulted on multiple occasions and sexually assaulted another ex-partner.
