More bed bugs have been found at the provincial court at Atlantic Place in St. John's, and it appears one employee has carried them home.

More bed bugs have been found at the provincial court at Atlantic Place in St. John's, and it appears one employee has carried them home.

Chief Judge Mark Pike said Thursday night's inspection found traces of bed bugs on chairs in four rooms.

A pest control company also found the insects in a couch at an employee's home.

The court facilities will be fumigated this weekend.

Court staff have been slated to attend an information session today about the bug infestation.

Court officials said the bed bugs are not a health and safety concern.

On Thursday, a Crown attorney refused to go to work because of the bed bugs, but the lawyer was ordered to work by managers.
