A Newfoundland Power crew worker was injured while working on a power-restoration job in the east end of St. John's Sunday.

The worker was being treated in hospital for injuries sustained while he was working in the Stavanger Drive neighbourhood of St. John's.

His life was not at risk, Newfoundland Power said.

An occupational health and safety investigation was being launched.

A family member reacted to the news on Twitter.
