Jury chosen for Trevor Pardy 1st-degree murder trial

A jury has been chosen in the Trevor Pardy murder trial. The eight women and four men will hear from more than 30 witnesses in a trial that's expected to take a month.

A jury has been chosen in the Trevor Pardy murder trial, and will begin hearing evidenceWednesday.

The eight women and four men will hear from more than 30 witnesses in a trial that's expected take a month.

Seventeenof thewitnesses are civilians, 13 are police officers and three are doctors.

Pardy, 38,was charged with first-degree murder afterthe shooting death of hisformer girlfriend,TriffieWadman, on Boggy Hall Place in St. John's in October 2011.

Pardy also facestwo other charges, including using afirearma9mm handgunto commit an indictable offence.

The trial was delayed several times, as Pardy fought for the right to be represented by the lawyer of his choice.
