Pedestrian struck by taxi driver with suspended licence

A taxi driver has been charged after a pedestrian was struck by a car in St. John's.

A taxi driver has been charged after a pedestrian was struck by a car in St. John's on Wednesday.

Police saida man was walking along Pennywell Roadaround 4:15 p.m.when the taxi hit him in the area of MountRoyal Avenue.

The RNC said the pedestrian's injuries are believed to be minor.

The 50-year-old cabbie was charged with driving while suspended, and his vehicle was impounded.

Police say he may face more charges.
