Possible first polar bear sighting for La Scie

Colleen Gray saw an unusual sight on Mondaywhen a polar bear strolled into her hometown of La Scieon the Baie Verte Peninsula.

Graysays La Sciecurrently has aproblem with coyotesand black bear sightings are not unusual, but it's thefirst time she'sseen a polar bear in the area.

She said some people saw the animal walking fromthe street and theninto the harbour.Gray's husband then used a boat to try and guidethe bear out to sea.
